Facebook, Twitter and MySpace are part of a new craze called social networks. On the Internet, basically social networking websites allow you to express yourself and meet other people. You have your own web page and you can search for friends, tell other people what you are doing and post photos of yourself.
There are many social networks out there. The largest are Facebook, with 300 million users, MySpace, with 260 million users, and Twitter, with 45 million users. The reason social networking got so big is because you can easily meet new people, meet friends of your friends, and connect with old friends. You can also tell people what you are up to, or see what other people are up to.
